I just picked up a Sandisk Ultra SDHC 32 GB class 10 memory card @ Staples, for my DS708. Popped it into the card reader and started the update process, installed all updates without a single problem, and it did it much faster than the original card. DS booted up without a problem and works really smooth now.

Yell, that is it. You can buy a new card, format it and update all the programs in this new card. Then it works just the same. But note: Though we are not restricted to the card brands, Sandisk works best with our machine.

 I did as you say, I had the same problem, the sd card became unreadable, but after creating a new SD card, it updated the firmware in the DS708, but now I dont have any vehicle brand or model to scan. All is Blank Space and It doesn´t download the old versions I had in my previous card, this way the DS708 is Useless. Please Help. Thank you.
